We know that every pet is a little bit different… sometimes you may have a question about our services that you feel may be a special case.  Or, perhaps you’re just not sure which services might be right for you.  If you have a question that hasn’t been answered in previous sections, please browse through our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) list to learn more about the services we provide, or try the search box at the top of the page.  If you can’t find the information you’re looking for, or if you just want to talk to someone directly, please give us a call (toll free) and we’ll answer any questions you may have.

• Make reservations with Pet Concierge Plus early, especially during holidays.
• Ensure your pet is well socialized and allows strangers to handle him.
• Affix current identification tags to your pet’s collar.
• Maintain current vaccinations for your pet.
• Provide clear instructions detailing specific pet-care responsibilities and emergency contact information, including how to reach you and your veterinarian.
• Leave pet food and supplies in one place.
• Buy extra pet supplies in case you’re away longer than planned.
• Leave a key with a trustworthy neighbor as a backup, and give him and your Pet Concierge Professional each other’s phone numbers. Be sure those extra keys work before giving them out.
• Show the  Pet Concierge Professional your home’s important safety features such as the circuit breaker and security system.

Pet Concierge Plus guarantees your satisfaction with every service we provide. Simply make us aware of any dissatisfaction you may have had, within 15 days of the completion of that service, and we’ll make it right. That’s our commitment to you and your pet.

We put our Professionals through many tests to assure they will provide professional, reliable, loving care to your pets. Each sitter is carefully screened, interviewed, criminal background checked, trained, tested, observed ‘in the field’.  We won’t hire anyone that doesn’t merit the title ‘Professional’ – it’s that simple.

Yes, Pet Concierge Plus is fully bonded and insured. What this means to you as a client is peace of mind. We take responsibility for your pets and possessions when you put them in our care so that your property and your pets are fully covered against mishap. It’s our policy to provide you with a level of professional, responsible, worry-free service that you can trust.

Absolutely! If you are faced with last-minute surprises, just let us know as soon as you can so that we can make adjustments.  If for any reason we are unable to provide you with the service you request, we will do our very best to find the next-best solution to meet your needs. Most important is that no pet goes uncared for, and that no vacation plans are cancelled!

At Pet Concierge Plus, we strive to make the fees we charge as seamless and simple as possible. During your free, no-obligation consultation, the Pet Concierge Professional and you can determine the most suitable amount of time to meet the physical and emotional needs of your pets.  Additional services can be also assessed during your consultation.

We provide a free, no-obligation, in-home consultation so you have the opportunity to meet with your Pet Concierge Professional.  You’ll get to know them, and they can get to know you, your pets, and your needs. At this time, the Pet Concierge Professional will take detailed notes on how your pets should be cared for, including scheduling their feeding, play time, walks, socializing, etc. They will also obtain details on other services you may require, and can provide you with information on other services that you may have questions about.

During the one-on-one consultation you will have a chance review our insurance and bonding information and a list of our references.   It will also be an opportunity to provide the Pet Concierge with:

• A house key, which we will tag with a unique identifier that cannot be linked to your house by anyone but Pet Concierge Plus.
• Any other important details you would like to tell us to ensure that you and your pets receive the best care possible.

A one-on-one consultation will be established within 24 hours of your inquiry with Pet Concierge Plus.

We make every effort to ensure you get the same Pet Concierge Professional on an ongoing basis – in our experience, we find that this is best for your pet, and gives you the added peace of mind of knowing your pet is being taken care of by someone that knows them well. To make sure that your Pet Concierge Professional is available on the dates you require, we recommend booking as early as you can. However, rest assured that if a scheduling conflict arises and another Pet Concierge Professional needs to be assigned to you, you and your pet will be receiving the same level of high-quality service and care.

Domesticated pets are by nature very social, and require time to explore, play and socialize. In fact most behaviour problems in pets stem from emotional unhappiness.

Dr. Temple Grandin, a world-renowned animal behavioural scientist, recommends care that looks after both the physical and emotional needs of your pets.  Failure to provide pets with adequate stimulation and companionship can lead to a variety of outcomes, from behaviour problems, to health issues.

Hiring a Pet Concierge Professional ensures you are getting a knowledgeable, professional individual that will care for your pet to ensure that their physical AND emotional needs are well looked after. No brief bathroom breaks or quick feedings, our pet care experts will spend quality time with your pet to attend to all of their needs.  We are absolutely committed to making sure that your pet is happy and healthy.

Our Pet Concierge Professionals have a wide range of experience with virtually every kind of creature: from dogs and cats, to hamsters and rabbits, iguanas, turtles, ferrets, fish, chickens, and donkeys! Dogs: Private on-leash walks to their favourite park or on their favourite route,  hikes, fetch, swimming, playing (whatever suits you and your dog best).

Off leash walks to a local dog park, along with a group of friends. The dogs run, play, swim, and form a strong bond with one another. The perfect way to burn a ton of energy, and get lots of socialization. Every dog goes home happy, and tired after this one!

At Pet Concierge Plus, we understand how important your pets are – we’re pet owners too!  We wouldn’t  have anyone looking after our own pets and homes that we didn’t feel comfortable with, and neither should you.  That’s why we take hiring the right people extremely seriously.

We begin by seeking out individuals that are willing to undergo an involved evaluation process.  All Pet Concierge Professionals are thoroughly screened, including reference checks and a police background check.  We ask a lot of questions, and do a lot of interviews. We take the time to make sure that we understand who they are as people. They need to be responsible, personable, and reliable… and of course, they have to be outstanding with pets!  For those new candidates that pass our screening process, there’s still a training requirement which (among other things) involves an in-the-field mentoring and evaluation period.   This is what it takes to earn the title ‘Pet Concierge Professional’.

We have high standards because we believe that our clients have high standards.  We believe in taking all the time and care required so that we can be sure that all our clients receive the same outstanding level of service.  We believe that quality service and peace of mind is the foundation of our company’s promise to you.  We’ll take care of it – it’s what we do.
